Autumn Praise

My husband and I spent a few days in Upper Michigan. We were working on projects at an old farmhouse—a place I have visited almost every year, as far back as I can remember. We also enjoyed the peak fall color while driving and hiking.

The trees in Upper Michigan are in splendid color. It is like a song of praise to the creator.

Forest Path

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth into joyous song and sing praises.
Psalm 98:4

The Lord God is magnificent. He holds every detail of our world in his hand. He is sovereign over all things. I look forward to the completion of his plans for us.

Autumn Forest

Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.
Psalm 96: 12b-13

  1. It sounds like you had a beautiful time away with your husband the pictures show the beauty of God’s creation that you enjoyed.

    I liked your comment that God is a part of every detail. You can see His handiwork in all things and that you are looking forward to Him bringing everything to completion. What a beautiful image to think on. 🙂

    1. Karen, Thanks for visiting. It was a treat to be in Upper Michigan during peak fall color. God’s handiwork is everywhere, but this was special.

  2. My husband and I were in Upper Michigan about 3 or 4 times 20 to 25 years ago. It was a real treat…and pretty difficult in some of the places, and even then we just loved it. Haven’t been able to go since then, but I still look at my photos and rejoice. Thank you for sharing. Made me smile!!

  3. Glorious photos! Makes me wish I could get back up there sometime soon (about 4 -6 hours away…). And farmhouses… I adore em. Just came across one today – a gorgeous Victorian blue and white farmhouse out in the country. Was a fabulous gift to my color tour adventuring in lower MI. today. Thanks for sharing yours!

  4. The splendor of autumn is just amazing. I said to my husband earlier this morning, even the shadows cast in our family room are beautiful. Love when God boasts His beauty upon our days! Enjoy!

  5. Absolutely stunning Carol. Thanks for sharing. We haven’t had an autumn for several years and are enjoying it. God is good.
