During my college years at the University of Michigan I regularly attended church and participated in Bible studies. I valued the relationships that I had through church and Intervarsity. Along with a roommate I attended a Bible study led by former missionaries to China. It was a time period to work through questions that I had about life and faith.
With joy I was able to visit the church that my granddaughter goes to on the campus of the University of Illinois. I was glad to see a worship center filled with college students. All in attendance sang worship songs with gusto. The pastor gave a thought-provoking message.
We drove three hours to the church to be in attendance when our granddaughter was baptized. She gave her testimony, explaining that she was committed to following Jesus. More than 100 college students cheered. We rejoiced!
We were encouraged by the enthusiasm of the college students. It is truly wonderful to see young people pursuing a relationship with God.
