For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17a
Jesus healed many people during his ministry on earth. In the eighth chapter of Matthew the healing of a leper, the Centurion’s son, Peter’s mother-in-law and two demon possessed men are recorded.
In addition: That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. Matthew 8:16
God desires our well-being. In chapter nine of Matthew, Jesus heals a paralytic man, but first he forgave his sin. Jesus gave spiritual healing to the man and he offers healing to us.
The revival taking place at Asbury College is a healing event. I have seen short video clips of worship and prayer taking place in the chapel. It began with a young man confessing his sin.
Tucker Carlson interviewed a student at Asbury College and was planning to take a crew to the college to see what was happening. The college administrators called him and asked him not to come. They explained that it is a spiritual event.
On the website, Deep Roots at Home, Jacqueline has written about the revival and when you scroll down, she has a beautiful testimony from one of the students. You can access it here.

I am sharing this post with the Five Minute Friday writing community and with the Inspire Me Monday link-up.
It’s funny how the world of sin
is so scared of revival;
if they’re so sure they’re gonna win,
why stomp down the survival
of faith in the lesser hearts
than theirs, the despised rednecks?
Could it be, in deepest parts,
there’s still something that genuflects
to Creation’s mystery
that they’d rather shut away?
If confident that history
will show theirs is the better way
then why the hateful dance and song,
unless they know that they are wrong?
He forgives our sins and heals our wounds and diseases. He did and He does, if we come to Him as we are. Thank you for sharing the link too.
The World Prayer Network is reporting on Asbury College and holding the attendees up in prayer. Tonight a woman who
was part of the 1970 revival shared her perspective and prayed–along with someone from South Africa, from Canada and more.

Amen.
Very true that our well-being, our healing, is God’s desire.
Just stopped by from FMF #12
Heather, thanks for visiting. I enjoyed visiting your blog!
I love your blog and your take on both physical and spiritual healing. Many think of healing only as physical when in fact God often talked about spiritual healing. I love hearing about the stories coming out of Asbury College. It is so refreshing to hear something good for a change.
Visiting from #8 on FMF
