The Gift of Children: Grandmother’s Perspective

It is good to pause and give thanks for God’s gifts.  I am very blessed to have ten grandchildren. It is a joy to spend time with them, to attend games and concerts. I am also called to help them on a life of faith.

Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children . . . Deuteronomy 4:9

Children are precious to God. They are precious to Jesus.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

During this turbulent time in our country, I have many concerns for the children—the exposure to sexual and gender topics that are beyond their years, the side effects of school closure and masking, and experimental vaccines. I am thankful for parents that are going to school board meetings. I pray for God’s mercy and ask what can I do?

Robert Malone wrote about his concerns as a grandparent.

Although I am a physician who is deeply committed to the Hippocratic oath, I am above all a husband, father, and grandfather.  I ask that you allow me a moment to speak to you about our children, and about our fundamental responsibility to protect them.

If nothing else, we must nurture and protect our children.  This is job one.  It is your job.  It is my job. It is not their job to protect us.  And during the last two years, our society and our public health response has failed to protect them.  Many things that our public health system has demanded we do to our children has directly harmed them.

The FDA is considering approval of the Pfizer mRNA vaccine for infants and children under five years old. Robert F. Kennedy sent out an action alert. The vaccine has known and unknown risks. It is experimental. So, I responded to the action alert. Here is the letter that I wrote to committee members that are responsible to advise on approval.

As a grandmother one of my roles is to safe guard the health of my grandchildren, and where possible, other children. I am deeply concerned about the risk of mRNA vaccines given to children. The risk of myocarditis is greater than the benefit of the experimental vaccine.

Children have less risk from covid than the flu. Their immune systems are developing. This vaccine is experimental and we don’t know the long-term consequences on the immune system.

My daughter had a reaction to the hepatitis vaccine that led to her withdrawing from college for a semester and set off fibromyalgia that she still has today. She wishes that she had never agreed to taking the vaccine. The experimental vaccine can have life altering effects on young children!

I understand that the clinical trials, giving 2 doses to children, failed. And yet there is a desire to move this forward? Perhaps parents will lose all trust in health care policy.

Our children are our most precious resource. Their health must be protected! Please do NOT approve the Pfizer mRNA vaccine for infants and children under five years old.

Dear reader I urge you to pay attention to the children in your circle of influence. Pray and ask God what you can do to protect and guide them.
